  • DO NANNIES GET PAID ANNUAL LEAVE?

Posted By: Hazel Richardson on 28th March 2019

Yes again like all employees you accrue annual leave (both permanent and temporary roles) The amount of days per year you are entitled to will depend on how many days per week you work. A 5 day nanny is entitled to 5.6weeks (28 days) per year which includes 8 bank holidays. If the nanny takes a Bank Holiday off, this comes out of the annual leave entitlement. If a part time nanny does not work on a certain day (eg Monday) and there is a Bank holiday this does not come off their entitlement as they don’t normally work on that day.
